What is Individual Psychotherapy
Individual psychotherapy, also known as talk therapy, is a structured process where a trained clinical psychologist/counselors or therapist works one-on-one with an individual to explore thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that may be causing distress or affecting daily functioning. The goal is to help clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves, develop healthier coping skills, and make meaningful changes in their lives.
In a typical session, the therapist provides a safe, private, and non-judgmental environment where you can talk openly about your challenges, whether it’s stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, self-esteem, or relationship difficulties. How Individual Psychotherapy Works?
Therapy sessions usually take place once a week for about 50 to 60 minutes, either in-person at our Cyberjaya centre or online for clients across Selangor and Klang Valley. During each session, your therapist will guide you through reflection, self-awareness, and emotional processing using evidence-based techniques.
